St Andrew’s Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated people, who want to make a difference to the lives of young people to be part of its brand new facility, FitzRoy House.
FitzRoy is set to welcome young people in early 2017, and will be Europe’s newest and largest adolescent mental health facility. Providing specialised, bespoke care, FitzRoy House will support up to 110 young people with some of the most complex mental health needs in the UK.
The new facility will need experienced nurses and healthcare assistants, and there will also be numerous vacancies for non-clinical roles such as housekeeping and catering, who are a vital part of the team in supporting the care we provide.
Paul Bentham, Service Director for St Andrew’s CAMHS Pathway, said: “Our staff and patients are very excited about moving to FitzRoy House next year. We have involved our young people at every step of the process – helping to design the layout of the new building, naming the wards and making sure that the environment is as peaceful and welcoming as possible.
“At St Andrew’s our vision is to transform lives, and we have invested heavily in leading-edge facilities so that our patients are giving the best support possible. We need great people to help us work with our patients, and I urge anyone interested in working with us to make contact today.”
FitzRoy House will offer a wide range of therapies, from special sensory rooms to art and music suites, together with animal care in its outdoor courtyards and the opportunity to work in kitchens and workshops. Fitness suites will help young people improve their physical as well as mental wellbeing, and patients will study for qualifications in the new setting for St Andrew’s College, rated by Ofsted as outstanding.
Paul Bentham continued: “This is a fantastic time to join a well-established, forward looking mental healthcare charity. Our focus is on patients, not profits. FitzRoy will give us the best facilities in the sector, together with excellent career prospects and competitive benefits for employees.”
