Northamptonshire Business Awards 2018
Posted on Oct 24 2018 by Bobbie Kelly
We’re proud to share that our Mental Health Boot Camp event – and the campaign that promoted it - has been shortlisted for a local business award.
The campaign is a Finalist in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category, in the Northamptonshire Business Awards 2018. The Awards recognise the achievements of businesses – from startups to global leaders, and the people who work for them. They aim to shine a spotlight on the hard working, talented teams in the county. There are 10 different categories in the awards, and the judging process is entirely independent.
Our Mental Health Boot Camp was held as part of Mental Health Awareness Week in May. The week focussed on stress, and the event aimed to help participants learn how to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Attendees were able to take part in a free yoga or mindfulness session, have a massage, try a variety of arts and crafts and discover opportunities to participate in local sports. There was also the opportunity to learn about products designed to help you de-stress, including aromatherapy, bath salts, crystals and herbal teas, and a number of experts from St Andrew’s outpatient clinic, nutrition and dietetics and chaplaincy teams were on hand to discuss mental health and wellbeing.
The Mental Health Boot Camps have been held for three successive years, and have been supported by various marketing activities, including leaflet drops and social media promotion. In addition, the team have produced a selection of free ‘Little Books’ – available both as downloads and as printed items - which contain advice and tips to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Adam King, Marketing and Key Account Manager, commented: “It’s great to be shortlisted as finalist for such an award. The campaign aimed to help reduce local stigma around mental health and increase awareness, as well as meet a number of business related objectives. The response was amazing and it was great to see a marketing campaign have such a positive effect on the lives of the people who engaged with it.’’
Once the finalists are announced an independent board will review and select the winner from each category. The panel are looking for campaigns which delivered impressive results objectives, are well thought out with creativity and originality, and those which may have had a social impact or influenced change.
The Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 15 November at The County Ground, Northampton.
