Ever wondered what our colleagues in our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) do, and what they love about their roles?

We're proud to share a series of short videos, which aim to shine a spotlight on our PICU ward staff. The team support patients for short periods of time - on average around 28 days - as they undergo rapid assessment, intensive treatment and stabilisation.

In the first few videos Lynsey Harradence, Technical Instructor, William Ross Callaghan, Nurse Manager and Dr Shubhinder Shergill, Consultant Psychiatrist, speak about their career backgrounds, the challenges they face in their roles, enjoyment seeing patients improve in such a short space of time, and one of them may or may not have been in a West End musical!
