Stanley Black & Decker have made a generous donation of tools to support people with mental illness, learning disabilities and brain injury.
Workbridge, part of St Andrew’s Healthcare, offers a wide range of vocational opportunities to local people. Its offering includes various workshops to develop service users’ creative skills, where they design and make a wide variety of garden and home products.
As part of its commitment to support good causes, Stanley Black & Decker of Brackmills, Northampton, pledged to provide a large array of tools to support Workbridge’s operations.
Helen Wright, Head of Workbridge, said: “The Workbridge team of staff and service users are all extremely grateful to Stanley Black & Decker for this very generous donation. We have six workshops that will benefit from the Stanley Black & Decker products, enabling our service users to develop valuable vocational skills.”
Dean James, operations manager at Stanley Black & Decker said: “It’s great to be able to support Workbridge in this way and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the team and seeing the tools in action. Workbridge does a hugely important job in enhancing the lives of people that face many challenges, and we are already seeking out other ways we can support them.”
