Salary: £23,879 per annum plus enhancements

About Our Community Deaf Service
Our Community Deaf Service is at the forefront of transforming community mental health care for D/deaf and hearing-impaired individuals aged 18 to 65. We support service users with complex mental health needs as they transition from secure environments to living more independently in the community.
We are looking for Support Workers to join our dedicated team in making a real difference in service users’ lives. The service supports individuals with a wide range of diagnoses, including mental health illness, learning disability, brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, and personality disorder.
As part of this vital service, you will:
- Encourage and support day-to-day independent living.
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions.
- Provide problem-solving support and crisis management.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Have experience of supporting people who are deaf or who have hearing impairments
- Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) or D/deaf themselves, or willing to undertake training in BSL
- Strong team players with the confidence to work independently.
- Skilled at building and maintaining relationships across clinical teams.
- Resilient, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate, approachable, and able to develop rapport with residents.
