St Andrew’s strengthens innovation strategy with appointment of new Research Director

Mental healthcare specialists St Andrew’s Healthcare has appointed a new Research Director, Steve Sadler, to its senior team.
A new role for the charity, the position has been created to focus on developing strategic partnerships with industry, technology, academic institutions and government. Overall, Steve Sadler will be responsible for driving forward the Charity’s research and innovation activity, for the benefit of patients.
Steve Sadler is an experienced leader, joining St Andrew’s from Tunstall Healthcare Group where he was a Board Director. Tunstall Healthcare is now the world-leading provider of technology-enabled services in healthcare, social care and housing. During his nine years there, Steve created a new set of technology-enabled care models, led new business development and created an ‘innovation incubation lab’.
Having begun his career as a nuclear physicist at Rolls Royce, Steve has a deep understanding of the role of research in steering new strategic direction, which will be essential in his new position.
